This fountain is located in the first inner courtyard of the Louvre. The front of the Louvre can be seen in my Crazy sticks and the Louvre image and the second courtyard (with the pyramid) can be seen in my Early morning Louvre picture.
Needless to say, the Louvre is quite large.

Almost like a painting. It would have been cool to experiment with dropping something in the water and then taking the shot so that it causes some ripples in the empty spot. I saw some photos yesterday where the photographer would get a nice reflection like this and then drop a lens cap in one section of the water then took the picture when the lens cap just landed and caused ripples out. It was a great idea.

It does look like a painting. I like the ripple effect over just a clear reflection I think. I'm such a sucker for water reflection photos (as I stated on Shuva's pic before.) I think I would have cropped out the edge of the fountain to allow the curved reflection stand on its own.
