This is around 8:30 in the morning ... a full half hour before the gates open to the Louvre. To me it feels like some kind of weird experiment, like they're waiting to catch the next shuttle to the moon.

The eyes lead to the entrance and also gives an idea of how large the structure it. The light on the top forces the eaye to look up after leading to the entrance.

Really cool picture..I like the openness and "unknown" quality to this photo. It does feel and look space-age as if they are waiting for an otherworldly shuttle.

Aaron - I really like the way you are capturing Paris. Ever thought of putting together a book of your photos? They are beautiful and different perspectives of what you normally see in photo books. This photo is another example of that creativity with a well known site. =)

Leslie, thanks for the comments. Never thought about a book ... I spend too much of my time in the digital realm to think about the physical one. But I'll keep the idea kicking around. :)
