Nice title! Would have loved to see more detail on the dark side of the branch, probably a fill flash wouild have done the job. BTW what kind of branch is that?

Shuva, agree with the flash fill ... need to remember these suggestions before I take the picture. ;) Type of branch? No idea, but it's pretty common in France. I'll ask around.

Aie, aie, aie ... guys ! this is Lavender ... we usually take off the violet flowers (see pic above) and put it in our cupboards, their smell is wonderful. This plant is also used in medicinal remedies, perfumes etc ... any other questions, please let me know ;)

It grows in tough bushes ... even if you can find them anywhere in France, it is a plant from Southern France. There, the bushes are huge and the flowers smell much stronger. We had one hanged at our window ... but it is a delicate plant and it needs great care. Unfortunately, it died ... i think Aaron put a photo of the dead plant on this website !? Anyways, it is no longer the season for this plant but if we find a nice one (we have lots of them near our place), we will take a pics :)

Here's the photo of the Dead Lavendar ... although, I'm not sure if this will help in understanding what the plant looks like. ;)

I love the simplicity of this shot - the blurred muted sky and building in the back give this one a painted feel too (another am3 similarity).

The mystery of what's in the background adds to the overall beauty of the shot.
