Nice title! Would have loved to see more detail on the dark side of the branch, probably a fill flash wouild have done the job.

Shuva, agree with the flash fill ... need to remember these suggestions before I take the picture. ;) Type of branch? No idea, but it's pretty common in France. I'll ask around.

Aie, aie, aie ... guys ! this is Lavender ... we usually take off the violet flowers (see pic above) and put it in our cupboards, their smell is wonderful. This plant is also used in medicinal remedies, perfumes etc ... any other questions, please let me know ;)

Would love to see some closeups of the flower along with plant...Lavender is not very common in India :-(

It grows in tough bushes ... even if you can find them anywhere in France, it is a plant from Southern France. There, the bushes are huge and the flowers smell much stronger. We had one hanged at our window ... but it is a delicate plant and it needs great care. Unfortunately, it died ... i think Aaron put a photo of the dead plant on this website !? Anyways, it is no longer the season for this plant but if we find a nice one (we have lots of them near our place), we will take a pics :)
