He's the king of water (or snow depending on how you see the picture). Check out the badass conch shell he's ready to blow at a moment's notice. Go Neptune!
This image is similar to my Squishy fountain man photo but not actually taken at the same fountain. The two, non-identical fountains are found at either end of the place d'Obelisk.

The water makes the statues almost alive. Those fountains are certainly my favourites in Paris. Well done :)

The gold conch and head adornments, etc. add to the overall allure of the King and his court.

Excellent action - the water sprinkles and the way his beard is sort of moving (in stone) does make it appear very alive.

It's as if diamonds are raining from the sky or perhaps his loving admirers are showering he and his friends with diamonds. Neptune is without doubt my favorite Greek god. This is a very sexy statue of him. Really beautiful as well with the golds, greens and blue sky.
