Zum klapperflein bin ieh genanntPosted by Aaron Schmidt (Auckland, New Zealand) on 16 November 2004 in Cityscape & Urban. Aurélie and I visited Philippe, Sophie & Lise in Mulhouse this past weekend (pronouced mull-ooze) . The region of Alsace is a strange one. Being on the border of France and Germany, they've created a distinct culture with influence from both countries. They even have their own language (as portrayed in this picture) which is more german than french, but nevertheless no one in either country understands them.
