I love this church. If ever there was one that inspired me, it was Notre Dame. This is her southern rose window, sa grande fenêtre rose, as seen in the setting sun, hence the warm colours and deep contrast. For a sense of scale, the inner circle is probably about 2 metres (6 feet) in height, with the entire window having a diameter of 13 metres (42 feet). The idea to do a tight, off-centered crop of the window pattern came from Benny's picture Reading Room, one of the many great photos from his site photo.bwong.net.

Wow! this shot is amazing. the detail on the window is so sharp. The colors are also very nice and warm [especially in this weather ;-) ] Thanks for the mention in your post =) I'm glad to be of some inspiration [as your photos have inspired me!]

What is very interresting with Aaron, is that he can see things I can't. For exemple I know the church, I went lots of times to see it and visit, but I never thought of this photographie. Good job.

Aaron is so out there that he bleeds green - that's how you can tell them aliens - they bleed green.
Aaron - really beautiful image - you are putting the new lens to good use! Benny's photo is excellent as well - love the patterns and lines and the uniform coloring. Almost looks like a fractal...

This is a very nice picture ... very sharp and detail. I wonder how different this picture look would if it was taken during different times of the day.
