So we're back from our trip to Bourg St. Maurice, visiting Sophie and Philippe and Lise. Pictures of the baptism and the family will be coming soon... For now enjoy the beautiful landscape from a small village in the Alps. Most of the towns we visited were like the one seen in the distance: small and very isolated.

WOW! The size of the mountains are amazing, its almost unreal. Interesting composition, and great subject. That must have been breathtaking to be there. Great shot

whoa! I thought this was black and white before it finished loading - cool shot! It would have been fun playing around with a split neutral density filter here. You could have the mountains more exposed and keep detail in the foreground too.
Brussels is good - twas a bit rainy and cold over the weekend though. Still managed to take a few shots. Hey - I'm actually on the same time zone as you for the moment :)

Jason - a good filter would have come in handy. I did a flash fill in a couple shots but that only goes so far. Glad to hear you're enjoying Brussels.

Nice picture, wow, the mountains are insane! This reminds me a little of the small village we walked through in our trip up the alps, pre-A.

Nice shot, white sky, you should have lots of snow.

Beautiful snap..but it must be so cold:-( Europe is so so so cold especially for a poor soul like me who is used to the warm Indian climate :-((

Hutch - these Alps are not too far off from Geneva, where we made our famous "Death in the Alps" trek.
Lipika - yes, it was quite cold and we were not prepared for the cold and the snow that came when we were there! But is was beautiful and great for taking pictures! I hope you are surviving well in ugly England ... if you need a break, come to Paris where it is sunny! :)

Terriffic shot. The green at the bottom sets off the mountains.

Great picture Aaron. Reminds us of our trip to Switzerland. I have a slide of Grundewald, Switzerland depicting similar landscape.
