Moulin RougePosted by Aaron Schmidt (Auckland, New Zealand) on 11 May 2005 in Cityscape & Urban. The famous Moulin Rouge nightclub of Paris. The term moulin rouge literally means red windmill and it's quite obvious where it gets its name from. "Life in the Montmartre district of Paris near the turn of the last century was filled with characters like you might find in a movie. Nowhere was this more true than in the popular cabaret called the Moulin Rouge." - http://www.lautrec.info/Moulin-Rouge.html I took other pictures with the ISO cranked and, of course, the image is much sharper ... but I liked this blurred effect as it gives a much stronger sense of movement and activity.
