Hiking in Waitakere Ranges

A 40 minute drive out west of Auckland will get you into the beautiful Waitakere Ranges. The trail rating was moderate but I must say it was pretty rough going. We were climbing up crazy mud slides overlooking cliff edges and waterfalls. I'd hate to see what a hard rating looks like. (Well, actually, I'd love to see what it looks like but maybe after I get back into shape.)
