One big difference between Auckland and Sydney is how well designed and developed Sydney's harbour front is. Aurelie and I spent a lot of our time walking between the Opera House (located off to the right of this image) and the Harbour Bridge.
For this shot, I was lucky enough to find an elevated position where I could rest my camera and capture the beautiful harbour of Sydney. The very bright lights underneath the bridge (and above the palm tree) is Luna Park (more pictures coming soon). The stone pillars of the bridge have no structural purpose and serve only as decoration for the world's largest (but not the longest) steel arch bridge.

They had done pretty good planning for people to take good pictures too----not that I am taking the credit away from you. But it generally quite difficult to take good pictures in cities without distractions.

love the blue lights on the water under the bridge - were you able to get a tighter shot of just the bridge and water (without trees and sidewalk and street lights?) I bet that would be quite nice as welL!

I would have liked this shot more had the street vendors dimmed their lights. Is the brightness a result of time-lapse photography? An amazing panorama nonetheless. Makes one yearn to visit Sydney.

Lighting is natural looking. THis shot is better than a post card.
