Aurelie got her nails done a few weekends back. Of course, if I was going to take a picture, I had to do it right. So I positioned her hand on a bright blue cushion and then setup two light sources from opposite angles. 30 minutes later and Aurelie was a little regretful that she had ever agreed to this madness.

Just want to add that these are fake acrylic nails ! isn't it amazing???
So I am back from our team trip in Melbourne. We had lots of fun and did lots of shopping! I must say that we did not see much of the city but we did not have much time either.
After this second trip to Australia, I am even more convinced of our choice in moving to New Zealand. I do not know what it is but Australia just does not appeal to me the same way NZ does. Nice to visit but might not quite like living there.
Also, we had to wait 1/2 hour at the checking point in Melbourne on our way back because the woman did not take the time to read my visa nor gave me the opportunity to explain it to her. So she had to ring the immigration office since she thought my visa was expired. Honestly all the info are written on the visa and it just takes to read it through. On my arrival in NZ, the officer took 5 minutes to read through my visa and stamps, did not ask any question and added another stamp. It was all done in a few minutes ... love those Kiwis!
Have all a nice Monday!

You have very nice hands Aurelie, and you have very strange idea of photo Aaron. It's a simple and good photo.

Reminds me of the famous hand model in the movie "Zoolander" - soon Aurelie will keep her hand in a special glass container to preserve it's youth and beauty!
Aaron - nice technique on the light setup. Looks nice against the blue background - did you get any with more focus on the middle finger to pinky part of the hand - just curious how that would look ...

It does look fake...they are all a little bent----- The photo is clean and sharp and good lighting too.

I like the variation in focus. The lens does interesting things close up.
