Maybe it is due to the color of the stone, but the water looks cold. You must find a lot of mussels here !

You have had some great vertical shots recently. At this size (with my monitor at work) it is fun to scroll down through the layers. I love the stacks of black rock with ocean between.

It's funny the water on the top looks calm, and on the bottom there is more mouvement.

Thanks for the comments everyone. These are volcanic rocks similar to the ones found on Rangitoto ... they do make such nice patterns. :)

I agree the water looks cold. Are your vertical shots one image or multiples stiched together?
