It has been very rainy here in Auckland recently so this picture seems appropriate. Last weekend we had a major wind storm (140+ km/h), strong enough to blow the the top off the Supertop! In the Northern hemisphere there is a saying: April showers bring May flowers. I've been trying to think of what works here in the Southern Hemisphere. Suggestions are welcome. I think this flower is a hibiscus. But I'm not sure. The only proverb I could tell is : Snow in winter, sun in summer... and in Sumer either...

Cool flower shot. As a proverbe, I can propose "En octobre tonnеrre, vendаnges prospères. " As there any vineyards, in NZ ? If yes perhaps it can work.

Cool....never seen a violet Hibiscus (China Rose) before. I have seen white, red, pink and orange ones.

In regard to Nadege's question.. There are some good wines from NZ that we have tried here in Atlanta - I forget the names off hand.
Perhaps October Showers bring November Flowers? Do they have Halloween celebrations in NZ?
