It's getting warm, especially when the sun's out. With the giant hole in the ozone layer above the Antarctic circle, the rays from the sun come through stronger than you'd expect down here in NZ. I warn Aurelie about the dangers of skin cancer, but she ignores my advice, instead choosing to expose her delicate skin to the sunny skies with the goal of achieving a nice tan. I can only hope the cancer will take me first for I do not think I could live without her.

Hello lovely Aurélie!
You look swell, but remember that light skin has been in the past a sign of aristocracy, the well-known "blue blood" as veins could be seen on the fair skin! The tanned people were only the slaves working in the fields all day long, thus dark skin but unfortunately also loads of wrinkles...
Look at me, never expose my face to the direct sun, although I am a southern type, and cannot complain not having a single wrinkle in my face at my age... Just some thoughts ;o)
Aaron, what can I say? Another excellent picture of Aurélie through your loving eyes!

cool cropping - love the skin vs. green background and the classic schmidty corner composition.

note a bad model either :)
What a beautiful portrait! I think that Aurélie knows very well what she does, and it's only feminine to contradict a man. ;-)
But nonetheless, Aurélie, take care! It would be a pitty to loose your nice skin and natural tan!

Hi everyone, thanks you for your nice comments and concern over my skin ;)
However, do not worry, I am very conscious of the danger of the sun, especially here. I put suntan lotion very regularly and I do not stay hours on the sun.
Summer is starting to kick in. Yesterday, we reached 25C and this morning it seems we are heading for the same temperatures. It is still so strange to think Summer is ahead of us.

Lovely picture of you Aurelie. We are all concerned about your skin. I'm sure you are taking precautions. I have always really liked your fair complexion. Hope you both have a great week and enjoy the warm temperatures.

Hi Aurelie, Aaron is certainly protective of his favorite model (and wife). I believe you are taking the necessary precautions with the sun. I am jealous that you are looking forward to summer and we are getting ready for winter.

Lovely photography of a lovely, lovely model (!)--with some lovely thoughts too.
I have baked under the sun of the southern US for nigh onto 70 years now. Skin cancer (so far not serious, but annoying) has finally caught up with me. But sun screen was unheard of when I was your age, and I would NEVER have considered wearing a hat!

I forgot about reverse summer - lucky NZ people!
