Onetangi Beach, Waiheke IslandPosted by Aaron Schmidt (Auckland, New Zealand) on 26 October 2005 in Landscape & Rural. With Monday a holiday here in New Zealand, Aurelie and I went away for the long weekend to Waiheke Island to celebrate Greta's 30th birthday (a colleague of Aurelie's). If you know where to look, you can actually see Greta's house up the hill on the right. It has a black roof so it's difficult to distinguish but look directly underneath the white-roofed houses in the top-right and you may see it. The weather was beautiful and we spent plenty of time in the sun enjoying good food and drinks with some very friendly Kiwis and Australians. We even got the chance to do our first swim in New Zealand. From both Aurelie and I, a big thank you to Greta and everyone else for a wonderful weekend.
