This is John-Paul, more commonly known as JP, a colleague of Aurelie's who joined us for the weekend on Waiheke Island. All of us spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the warm sun and JP was no exception. I like the way this picture turned out with JP's profile in shadow ... it gives him a shy and innocent look, which would be accurate if it weren't for the fact that he's crazy.

Yeah ... not quite sure about the innocence :) Great picture or our cute JP with the Coromandel peninsula on the background (about 2-3 hours drive from Auckland) ... as well as my beach towel ;)
I like the different layers in the picture with JP, palm tree branch and then the two sets of land.

Great portrait, it's one of your speciality Aaron.

Original shot. Someone else would have placed JP on the right of the photo to make a traditional shot. JP looks like trying to escape the shot by the strenght of the mind, forcing you to target the Waiheke Island ! Is he a Jedi knight ?

Innocent? No sure, this glance cannot be innocent ;-)
Aaron, why did you put JP on the left part of the photo?

Hi JP, nice meeting you.

He does have that look about him - a man consumed by madness. He might charm you with a flower or snap your neck like a rag doll - mystery and mayhem
