Well, Aurelie and I are back from our crazy camping adventures around the North Island of New Zealand. We had an excellent time and got a lot of nice pictures (95% landscape/nature shots). Here we are by one of the Emerald Lakes just below the summit of Mt. Tongariro, on our trek through the Tongariro Crossing (an 8-hour, 17km hike up and down active volcanoes). Compare this picture to one of the first ones I took in NZ.

Yeah, the green colors of the water is great. I compared the two and I thibk either you have grown taller or Aurelie got shorter. What did one of you eat?

Bonjour les amoureux ! Cela fait plaisir de vous voir tous les deux radieux dans ce bel environnement. On comprend bien pourquoi cela s'appelle les lacs "émeraudes". Bisous. Sophie

Siba is moving to NZ or visiting? Aaron et Aurélie - you both look good - all that hiking has given you both a healthy shine. Aaron - good to see your hair growing in since your buzz cut last spring. Grow it crazy like your old pal Jason!

You two look like regular New Zealanders! The hiking must be terrific there, such a nice environment to roam in.

Hello everyone!!
This walk was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The hike was (VERY) difficult for relatively unfit French and Canadian (compared to Kiwis who were running it!! could not believe it) ... but what a reward once arrived on top of Red Crater with the view on the 2 other volcanos and the lakes. They recommanded you be prepared for all types of weather ... well, that was true as we experienced strong cold winds, fog with rain (could not see 2 meters ahead), sun and warmth, humid air in the rain forest at the end of the walk ... amazing!
Our flatmate Jordi did the same Crossing in winter ... in the snow! Kiwis are extreme!!!

Aurelie has shrunk into a small half-human whereas my bones and skin have grown large!

Both of you have given up the urban Parisian look for the outdoors Kiwis in training look. It becomes both of you.
