A 30 minute drive west of Waitomo Caves brings us to the small village of Marokopa. As the tide came in, the fishermen and fisherwomen came out to catch some fish. They all had massive fishing rods and while we were there (an hour or so) we saw at least 20 massive fish being caught. The two guys in the background of this picture look like they're jousting with their fish rods, perhaps trying to defend their fishing territory.
