A little bit closer to one of the Emerald Lakes at the base of the Red Crater Volcano. The smell of sulfur was quite strong and the water was warm to the touch. Not sure if the water is safe for swimming ... Aurelie put her hand in and she didn't die so it's probably ok.

Was this taken with a fish eye lens? Looks like the water is being pushed up from below. One expects some monster to push through from the deep. Amazing colours! It would be nice to know if this is the natural or altered colours.

Allan - No fish eye lens, but it is wide-angle 18mm. Some saturation has been added to the image in Photoshop but these are the natural colours.
