This is a good picture of Mt Tongariro (otherwise known as Red Crater). Unfortunately the clouds are covering Mt Ngauruhoe, directly in behind the Red Crater, which is a stunning black-surfaced active volcano (last eruption 1975). In the distance is the start of Mt Ruapehu, another beautiful snow-capped volcano (last eruption 1995). Although, they cannot be seen, the Emerald Lakes are right about in the center of this picture.

Hi Aaron, All the photographs in this series are Exceptional. Worth adventuring 8 hours hike to this no mans land.
