In the town of Paihia, there's one small church across the street from the beach where the surfers go to pray for good waves. But there's no real surf in Paihia so I don't think God is listening.

Nice shot. A bit dark here because of my flat screen. I think I'll discover a quite different picture tonight on my other screen at home ! :)

After reading the comment I bumoed up my contrast and brightness and sure it does look good and the glass colors are nice too.

The dark bricks contrast well with the brightly colored glass. The meter either did a good job or you did.

Steve - I shoot everything on manual in RAW format. For scenes like this, I'll just underexpose 1 or 2 stops and then fix things later when processing the RAW files (if need be).
