It was so much fun taking these pictures not caring who was in focus or what I captured ... just the seemingly endless stream of humanity. How many of them are creative and bright and seek to give something back to the world, something that will last? How many of them will accomplish something of importance in this world? How many of them are just sick of walking?

These people look angry. They have that "metro look" that you adopt here after daily use of public transportation. (That look is, in fact, very effective in preventing people from talking to you.) Remember that, Aaron? They also remind me of the thousands of protesters that I have bumped into (against my will) here in Paris.

In this case I'd say a lot of them are sick of walking! You raise an interesting point though. I often wonder when in a crowd in any city or place in the world - how many of these people have been in a crowd near me before? I'm sure the chances are good, especially in the city you live in, that someone has been in your proximity. Someone you have never met before but perhaps you are meant to meet at some chance moment. What if every single person on the planet had some kind of unique pattern or signature and we could invent some kind of device that can enumerate everyone in a certain radius of you and store these results so you can see how many times number 47833991838991 has been around you. Of course the privacy concerns and potential for misuse is there but than again, it might be a good way to meet strangers! The interesting part would be to be in another city or country and run into the same people over and over.
