Wow - way to go Nadege - great shot - it is very Aaron like I would have thought you took it given the clouds and blue sky but then again maybe all the great 'Aaron' shots can be done by anyone in NZ :P

That was Mt Cook, our second stop. It inspired the mountain the Fellowship of the Ring crosses during a snow storm in The Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately for us, it was very cloudy when we were there so we only had a glimpse at this mountain chain beauty. This picture is not Mt Cook but another mount part of the chain.

The grey part you can see going into the lake at the base of the mountain is a glacier. You can kayak on the lake and touch the ice. Unfortunately, it was fully booked so we could not do it!
