Aurelie and I looked for houses around the Grey Lynn suburb area, which was nice enough. But we quickly gave up when we realized how bloody expensive it would be. Nice view though.
Steve was asking about how I achieved such "clarity" with my shots. There is a minimum amount of post-processing I do on every image that comes through the Am3 pipe. To achieve sharpness I will usually apply an Unsharp Mask (radius 1.0, weight 90%) on the original and then (depending on the image) apply another Unsharp Mask (radius 0.4, weight 60%) after I've resized the image down to 900 pixels or so. The radius and weights can be adjusted as desired.

My sharpening properies are very different...i use radius of 2.9 and a weight(amount) of around 40%. I must try your settings too.

Thanks for the sharpening tip - post processing definitely makes a difference and in my opinion is quite merited for making our photos shine!
I was wondering when you two would settle down into a nice little house of your own - keep us posted on what you find :)

Not bad, I would have cropped this image though, everything after the cars going downwill go, makes a better shot to me.

I have to interject here for a moment and recommend something. Aaron, here is my plan......as these homes seem expensive and out of reach, refer to "Big Al's" treehouse plans from the past (the man built a dam good treehouse back in the day) sneak into the backyard of one of these fine homes and build away. You two could be the Swiss Family Robinson of New Zealand swinging in the trees and frolicking off to work each new day.
Happy Life!
