I believe that when my mantis friend prays to his Cactus God, he is asking for guidance on his daily quest for food and females. Perhaps he struggles to understand why he has been put on this Earth and so he turns to his Cactus God for answers. Unfortunately for our little mantis, his god is no where near as powerful as Ganesh or Jesus or even Amun-Ra. But that's ok, because Mr. Mantis has a small mind and is content with the answers that his Cactus God provides to him.
Like our mantis friend, we humans have questions and goals in our life. For many of us, religion provides the answers we seek. But I encourage all of you to step outside the mythology and seek truth in the realm of reason.

Ha - reason will get you no where! It is equally as powerful as religion and equally as effective at limiting your creative potential. Step free! [sorry steve a. if you are reading this heehee :) ]
