Aurelie and I spent the weekend out east in Tauranga. It's been over a year since we were there last time. We stayed in a really nice hotel, right by the beach, courtesy of my boss Wayne for all my extra work on Choice.
For this picture, I woke up at 6am and climbed to the top of Mount Maunganui and then patiently waited for the sun to rise.

Nice to go back to old familiar places and see how they (and you) have changed. Waking up is hard to do but worth the effort - Good shot! This would be a good submission to the next ISS photo club assignment clouds. You are welcome to submit it :)
By the way - you are luck you only had to get up at 6am. In Brussels the sun is setting around 11pm and rises about 5am. Long days of summer! Are the days long in NZ summer?

The picture is too good, but why does the sun rise at 6pm in NZ. Craziness!
