In a recent picture of Aurelie, Shuva pointed out that my usual style of placing the portrait into the "left/right extreme" seemed to be missing. His words were in my mind when I captured this shot where most of the empty space is behind the subject; a very simple change but something I don't think I've ever done.

If you were a new photographer, I would have said that its not the rule to compose like this, but since you are not, I cannot say that. This picture suggests that "She is leaving behind something" and what is missing is this "something" in the bg.

Nice and refreshing picture... You just don't know how I envy your winter... Not a single little picture of me... I'm so disappointed ;)

Aurelie looks great and I'd agree with Shuva... having her in the frame with more background behind her seems like a conscious choice to say something... perhaps Aurelie wishes to leave the winter behind and is ready for summer!

NZ is agreeing with both of you. I always enjoy your images of Aurelie because of the interesting environment in the background and the cool "fashion type" shots of Aurelie.
