Another shot of a gannet in flight at Muriwai. These beautiful birds can have a wingspan up to 1.8m and they love to coast around on the strong winds found around Muriwai beach.

Those gannetts are cool looking birds - you got a sharp capture here although I'd crop him to the left a bit even though it's hard to get the landform and bird while cropping...

With such a wingspan, you could have caught it by the legs to try a fly ! Intead of that, you only took a picture of it !

Shuva - not an HDR but the post-production did involve splitting the bird from the background with layer masks and the subsequent effects on the background would have created the halo effect.
