Mount Maunganui

Tauranga is a beautiful city in the North Island of New Zealand. This part is actually known as "The Mount", short for Mount Maunganui a fair sized volcano that overshadows the beach strip. The tiny country of New Zealand has more volcanos than any other country in the world.

That green neat the beach is tipical, I can imagine sheeps grazing there.

I agree with Craireg, the cloud behind looks like another mountain. I like the way the blue of the sky is picked up again in the strip of water.

Very nice landscape and great composition, and If I my not being too picky, I'd loved to see the end of mountain meeting the water on the right, which is cut off right now...

You sure are living your dream over there. Looking at this and the other picture from the top, this must be a very special place. Nice how the few people on the beach emphasize the mass of the mountain.
