Another shot from our trip to Muriwai beach on the weekend. Gannets love to nest on these cliffs, the strong wind and open ocean attracts many. A close-up, sunny version of the rock out cropping is also available.
Update: Thanks for all the comments. These gannets are nesting (some of them already had baby chicks) hence the reason they have very orderly areas of space.

Oh wow! I like the birdies. Very cool. The triangles make this a graphically powerful image. Extremely well seen. Cheers!

Oh wow again! This is an extraordinary photo! The birds spread in such an orderly fashion on such geometric planes makes it look unreal. NZ here I come.

NZ birds seem to be be very keen on equal private sphere, how funny! By the way, did you count them? ;)

I needed to take a second look at this picture. I can't believe how well they are all spread apart. Almost as if they had surveyors out to mark their own territories. Fantastic picture, I'm suprised they all didn't fly away. The position it was taken from looks as if you were one of the birds.

Great image.

Amazing picture! They really leave some space between each other. It looks like it is the exact same space. Do they move or fly away after some time?

Man great photo. How many chips did it take to keep them on their individual spots. Well done.

This is an excellent shot. The blanket of birds and the angle of the cliffs is amazing. I hope you print this one and put it on display somewhere....

Triangles are always strong shapes. The addition of the birds really makes this photo stand out.
