Reminds me of the icy branches in the sun, except for a different season and different country.
As a side note, I have an obsessive compulsive disorder for orderly numbers. Just check the EXIF data for this image: 1/400, F/4.0, ISO-400, 200mm. Believe it or not, I'll tweak exposure and F-stop settings to achieve even numbers where possible. I can't stand F/7.1 and F/6.3 bothers me too. Same goes for post-production ... adding +29 saturation is unbearable for me ... I would change it to 30 or 28 or 25 or 24 or 22. Every time. I figure I lose upwards of 3 hours every year with these pedantic, tedious changes. Numbers like 29 and 41 or 53 are bad, but numbers like 11 or 78, or 25 or 99 or 42 are good.
I was born on March 9, 3/9 - which isn't a great number but acceptable since 9 is the square of 3. Coincidentally, Aurelie's birthday is Feb 4th, 2/4 - which can also be expressed by squares.
Just trying to achieve peace inside my mind.

Okay it is official, you DO have a obsessive compulsive disorder LOL, hey nothing wrong with that, but you did crack me up there (still laughing).
Very simple and lovely shot above.

@Suby: Thanks Suby. Good to see you approve of the occasional mental disorder. =)
Really fresh photo. Make me feel cool, not the Fonz cool the other one.

Ok, a little obsessive compulsive, but it seems to work for you, so what the hey! Beautiful photo.

God damm it...you are crazy, but the shot is lovely, thats the only thing here that can make a stranger assume that you are still sane. Did you realize that you have used exactly 444 characters to describe that? :-P
22 Nov 2006 11:09am
@Shuva Brata Deb: Ha! If you seriously counted the characters, you're just as crazy as me! =)
Numbers aside, this is a great photo. I love the light. I also enjoyed flipping back to icy branches in the sun.
Oh boy, Shuva, I have spent ages trying to work out that 444. I get different numbers ? ... depending on which parts I count of course ... spaces or no spaces etc etc. I won't mention my totals as I don't want t upset Aaron's balance. ;-)

@Helen: Glad to see someone has tried to confirm Shuva's dubious claims. Maybe we're all crazy... =)
Lovely and very delicate! I will not start any debated on insanity ;)

C00L sh0t! Don't worry about the numbers!

Interesting, when I'm adjusting levels, I always round to the nearest 5. +5, or -10, or whatnot. But whatever the numbers, the values you've used work very well for this shot.

ha - I just saw this one - beautiful photo but the number thing... you are a freak :) give up the reigns and let it fly - you'll be surprised how a little disorder can mutate into a welcome change. Just ask ole Darwin - if our orderly single cells decided not to break their perfect balance we'd never be having this discussion today!
