Rain mist on the creeping plants

Posted by Aaron Schmidt (Auckland, New Zealand) on 22 November 2006 in Plants & Nature and Portfolio.

Reminds me of the icy branches in the sun, except for a different season and different country.

As a side note, I have an obsessive compulsive disorder for orderly numbers. Just check the EXIF data for this image: 1/400, F/4.0, ISO-400, 200mm. Believe it or not, I'll tweak exposure and F-stop settings to achieve even numbers where possible. I can't stand F/7.1 and F/6.3 bothers me too. Same goes for post-production ... adding +29 saturation is unbearable for me ... I would change it to 30 or 28 or 25 or 24 or 22. Every time. I figure I lose upwards of 3 hours every year with these pedantic, tedious changes. Numbers like 29 and 41 or 53 are bad, but numbers like 11 or 78, or 25 or 99 or 42 are good.

I was born on March 9, 3/9 - which isn't a great number but acceptable since 9 is the square of 3. Coincidentally, Aurelie's birthday is Feb 4th, 2/4 - which can also be expressed by squares.

Just trying to achieve peace inside my mind.
