The wire in free fall

Continuing my dark and moody trend, I present the wire in empty space. Probably another photoblog cliché, but hell, all the good stuff is.

hi aaron. been away so just checked your backlog for the last week. some excellent pics there. your previous post of the NZ coast is a belter! really like it. there's something pre-historic about the landscape of NZ.
in this one, the wire reminds me of a snake wrapped around a branch or something. nicely done.

Ha - I had not seen those photoblog clichés. I think I am guilty of a few myself !
This wire reminds me of evil - evil permeating our schools and bathrooms. You ought to break that wire and bring in the white light - show those pinkerbottoms that their antiquated ritualistic surprise party isn't going to bring us down - no way mister. Now go out and plant flowers and fight the good fight.

@Jason Kravitz: Not seen in this image but just out of view is a massive infestation of beautiful flowers. Perhaps they are fighting the 'good fight' as you say. But perhaps not. Time will tell and our children will be safe again.

i like the detail and the simplicity of this picture. And the other favorite (at least for now) I have is the one you took at Auckland Harbour Bridge (through the Pillar bridge).

I wonder which tower you climbed to get this shot... :)
I like the twisting of the wire. Kind of reminds me life being complex (represented by the twisting) but also at the same time very simple.
