He kept smiling at me but I didn't trust him. Not for a second. I knew (and he knew) that if I fell into his pit, he wouldn't hesitate to deliver a swift kick to my ankles, continue with the biting of the ears and finish me off with the dreaded head burial. Everyone thinks these evil birds deserve to live but I'm in favour of them going the way of the moa.

I love this, the expression is priceless. And you are probably correct if you fell in it would more than likely try and make you into a meal. These things eat anything and everything. God, I have to start getting out and making shots like these myself.
