Legend has it that these early Australian settlers were covered by thick ash when a meteor landed near their basecamp. Now they're frozen in time on Ann Street, downtown Brisbane.

@Suby: Wouldn't think so. It's more than likely that the meteor ash cooked them instantly ... like bad tasting hotdogs.

Those cowboys look a bit out of place in the city. Perhaps they are boiling frogs with a certain type of hallucinogenic poison in preparation for the meteor dance freak out.

@Jason Kravitz: A common assumption yet I'm afraid it doesn't take into consideration the fact that frogs were rare in these parts. Perhaps another amphibian species that has hallucinogenic properties, such as the juana-snake or shroom-lizard.
