Scientist Schmidty

Well today is my birthday and I've always loved scientists so I thought I would introduce you to my friend, Scientist Schmidty. He's a little crazy, one could say "mad" ... more so recently due to his obsession with optimizing Javascript code and his insistence to learn everything about anything.

Like Scientist Schmidty, I have a very high respect for the methodology of Science. Living a life in ignorance is not for me. And as much as I'd like to live forever, I know that this life is the only life I'll get. That knowledge does not create despair, quite the contrary: I cherish every day. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to live as a human, to have the intelligence to study the world around me and learn more about who I am and how we all got here. The 10,591 days so far have been nothing short of spectacular and I appreciate everyone who has been a part of that, most of all my parents (whose genes I have no complaints with) and my wife (who teaches me the most important lessons). Here's hoping for another 20,000!
