I stumbled through the Medina of Fes for hours before randomly finding Suuq Dabbaghin, the Tanners' Quarter. I was lead to the top of a small terrace and given some mint to help suppress the horrendous smell of the fresh cow skins that were being prepared for leather tanning. It was quite an experience.

Wow!
There is so many things to look at in that shot. That's awesome. I don't think I've seen anything quite like that before, even though I've been to Cappadocia in Turkey.
Where is that d00d's mint?

Tremendous photo - I love the tones & colours. I'm so glad that you didn't crop out the satellite dishes at the top as they add to whole surreal feel of the image.

@Ian Bramham: Thought about it but I figured it made a nice contrast of new and old. Cheers.
What an amazing shot! I love all the different sections and lines in this.

What struck me is the incredible clash of cultures, past and present, side by side in satellite dishes and tanning methods. Great photo.
