I remember when our daughter was born 15 years ago now we had said that we wouldn't give her a dummy (soother)- after just 2 days we went out and bought a selection! Being a new parent is completely exhausting isn't it! - If its any kind of consolation (which it won't be :-) the second baby is a breeze in comparison.
