A new decade begins for my beautiful wife (in more ways than one). This photo was taken by Grandma Janet and I love the feeling of it. There's apprehension, fatigue, calm and, of course, love in Aurelie's eyes; a great representation of our new life with Solen.

What an absolutely beautiful picture of mother & daughter! Was it the fruit of skillful arrangement and/or patient waiting? Or was it one of those rare expressive moments that presents itself & either disappears or is recorded? It is indeed a great capture by Janet.

Thanks you all! we spent a wonderful day on the beach in Hahei (Coromandel Peninsula) with sunshine, blue sky and green sea ... a good start to the 30's, no?
