I am jealous of your local scenery - I'll agree with Shuva and Aurelie that this shot screams for vivid greens and not this desaturated look. If anything, try the trick I sent around a while back where you create a B&W layer and then a color layer (set to Color blend mode) on top - I can play around to show you an example if you send me the original.
