Kauri are unique to New Zealand and are among the most ancient trees in the world. They can grow to heights of 50 metres but their true power is in their girth with records exceeding a 25 metre circumference. Jordi estimated this particular tree to be in the realm of 300 to 400 years old but they can grow to well over 1000 years old.

Nice facts, but there is a bit too much exposure and less focus -- maybe due to the sun.
