Your airport pictures look deserted. What time were you there to take the pictures.
Dad just left for Manchester and he looked up the list of items that you can take on board. You are allowed to take such items as nail clippers, nail files, corkscrews, knitting needles and sewing kits with small sewing needles. You cannot take knives, hatchets, meat cleavers, axes or golf clubs to name a few. He couldn't find out about an umbrella so he packed it in his suitcase but I'm sure that would be considered a weapon. They have an exhaustive list on the website.
I think they saw a little baby waving a suspicious object containing a suspicious liquid ! They evacuated the airport and mastered the baby. No one was hurt except the teddy bear which could have been used to hyjack the plane by beeing ingested by the pilots.

@Hervé: It is a shame but it is necessary to treat criminals without remorese, else all the babies of the world will rise up!
