Miss Australia! they still do these things yeah? think they were about to throw in the towel with Miss U.K. due to the morale furore in our politically correct times. Think they had to run it minus the swimsuit section and the models weren't allowed say the words "pets", "children" or "world peace" anymore. Anyway, A unique perspective on the no doubt attractive young woman.

@Duncan Galbraith: I should have specified that this is just a mannequin, not the model herself. In fact, I'm not 100% sure if Australia does run this competition ... this picture was taking in a museum along side an exposition showing the history of the Miss Australia competition.
I immediately thought about magic and conjurors when I first saw this, without the title! Perhaps more like smoke and mirrors... Great to see an approach to this outdated competition that doesn't poke fun, and doesn't exploit the flesh potential!
Reminds me of the infamous Australian one gloved assassin Ms. Amelda Dupree. She debilitates her victims with the power of her laser powered pole of pain and then tortures them slowly by singing show tunes with an Elmer Fudd style accent. Thank goodness this is only a mannequin and not the lady herself or you probably would not be posting this photo.

@Jason Kravitz: I can't believe the entire time we were in Australia no one mentioned Ms. Dupree. Perhaps the mere whisper of her name strikes terror into the hearts of those nearby. I'll keep my eyes open and carry my shield of laser reflection.
