That's some funny structures. It could be some balls build by crazy gods to punish someone having been more clever than them.

I would sneak out at night with an axe and chop off that tree and take a picture the next day.

I wondered where all the old colanders my mother used to have went!! We used to have a 'pressure cooker' that could fit three of these in at a time, and you could cook different foods at one time.
I appreciate Shuva's sentiment about that tree - but perhaps the authorities wouldn't!
