Te Pare Point is an historic reserve at the southern end of Hahei Beach. It was once occupied by the Ngati Hei people and served as a Māori pā.
This is breathtaking Aaron! It must be incredible to stand there and see this wonderful nature's piece of work... partiicularly like the light on the rock and the perfect b&w ;)

Fabulous photo! The b&w work is excellent, with well-distributed and interesting tones throughout, and the cropping and composition is good as well. Thanks for sharing.

fantastic shot. great composition and detail. this shot and your 'pillar rock at cathedral cove' for some reason make me think of gulliver's travels and the lilliputians, i really don't know why.

That is a most incredible image, Aaron. The b/w conversion really gives this a stark beauty.

Agree totally with Michael and Melissa. Only I would like to see the piece of sky at the left upper corner (peeping through the clouds) a bit lighter to avoid visual confusion, now it seems to be a piece of wood on a mountain slope, and a second look tells the eye that the horizon is much lower, but I can't get rid of the idea.

@Illuci: It's actually the cloud that's dark sitting on the white sky but I do agree that it's a little too dark and it throws off the balance. Thanks for the critique.
Somehow I missed this one - great shot Aaron - one of your best
